Naree leads every sitting. She spent eleven years on a deposit desk at a commercial bank branch in Narathiwat, where households brought passbooks and asked, quietly, when they might stop work. The queue was built for products. The questions were about years, parents, and school fees. In 2013 she took an evening course in household accounts in Hat Yai. In 2014 she opened this room.

The registered name and the year

The official registered business name is Aware Latticeway Financial Planning. The business was established in 2014 in Tambon Pasemat, Amphoe Su-ngai Kolok, Narathiwat. The first households were teachers and shop families who wanted a table where a pay slip could be discussed without a product being placed beside it. The practice has stayed a sitting room. The address has not moved.

How the room works

Fees are stated before a date is held. Papers go home with the household the same afternoon. A spouse or an adult child may sit in. Summaries are written in Thai or English, as the household asks. When a family prefers the conversation to move in Pattani Malay as well as Thai, they bring the relative who already interprets at family meetings.

The work is pre-retirement household financial planning: timelines, cash lines, and income sketches for the years before wages stop. Fund purchases stay with a licensed house. Tax filings stay with an accountant or the revenue office. Wills stay with a lawyer.

The households nearby

Su-ngai Kolok is a border town. Some months a dry-goods shop is busy; some months it is not. Civil servants count a department date that may move if a parent needs them at home. Teachers carry cooperative passbooks. Adult children send a fixed sum to an elder in a nearby tambon and still hope to keep a share of their own. The room is for those papers, in that order.
