The years of wages still left on the table

Aware Latticeway Financial Planning keeps a planning room in Tambon Pasemat for households who can already name the season when a salary, a teaching post, or a shop’s regular takings will stop. The work is a series of sittings: papers on the wood, a written timeline in baht, and a list of what still has to be asked of a pension office or a cooperative.

What comes out of the cupboard

A sitting starts with the papers a household already keeps, not with a catalogue of products. These are the ones that change the page.

  • The newest pay slip, or the shop day-book

A border shop’s fat week and thin week both belong here. An average month that nobody has lived is left aside.

  • Provident-fund or cooperative pages

The current statement, plus any loan deducted before the salary reaches the bank.

  • A Government Pension Fund booklet

For civil servants, the recorded amount and the year you are actually willing to plan around.

  • The parent line

Money sent to a mother, a father, or a sibling who buys the rice, written as its own figure.

  • School fees, rent, and rent you receive

The months those amounts move, including a small house let to someone else.

Six weeks for the household review

The flagship sitting is the Household Pre-Retirement Review. Four meetings of about ninety minutes, spread over six weeks, for a household that expects the main earned income to stop in roughly eight to fifteen years. You leave with a timeline, two cash pictures, and a retirement-income sketch whose assumptions are written in the margin.

The engagement fee is 12,800 THB, said before a date is held. Naree Limsakul sits with you in the planning room. One of the four meetings can be held at home inside Amphoe Su-ngai Kolok.

From a teacher’s margin

She came with three years of pay slips and left the older ones in the cupboard after the first hour. The line she still checks is the school-fee month, which had been hiding inside the word food.

That note is from a secondary-school household in Su-ngai Kolok. Longer accounts, including one husband who left a sitting impatient, are kept on the client notes page.
